The day had finally arrived. On March 1st, Inter Miami played their first MLS game in their history, kicking off a new era of futbol in Miami and a new era for the league.

This was no easy matchup for Inter, they faced one of the best teams in the league in Los Angeles FC on the road. Led by forwards Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi, this team broke the MLS record last season for most points in a season. Essentially, they were historically the best team in the history of the league.

At the end of the night, Inter Miami were defeated by LAFC 1-0. Carlos Vela scored an impressive goal in the 44th minute, shooting from outside the box and chipping over Miami's goalkeeper. However, Inter Miami played calmly and remained structured throughout the match, which is impressive for such a new team like Inter Miami.

Miami now looks ahead to March 7 for their next game on the road against D.C United, before playing their home opener on March 14th against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Inter Miami won the game 1-0, thanks to a goal by rookie forward Robbie Robinson in the 31st minute. This was Inter Miami's first win in franchise history, and gave them a solid form heading into the first week o...

Unfortunately, the team is created and put together over the course of a few weeks and are left with little over a month to prepare for the upcoming season. As a result, it would be difficult to expect them to start running straight out of the gate. It will take a lot of time and patience for them to adjust and get comfortable with one another. Team chemistry is built throughout the season and it takes many ups and downs to really grow as a team. Despite recent success by former expansion teams like LAFC and Atlanta United, most expansion teams struggle to get their feet wet. Realistically, Inter Miami will not compete for the MLS Cup this season, or possibly the next one either. One can hope, however, that within the next 3-5 years, they’ll ...
